Happy New Year!
Thanks for the January update Barb. I am looking forward the first book club meeting of 2012. My address is 2191 Yonge Street (North Tower), Suite 4201. There is public parking in the building ($2/hr; $5 max.), look for the blue P sign off of Yonge St. just south of Eglinton, on the east side. I am in and yes I can pick a book. I will assume Orange Prize unless I hear otherwise.
I'm still struggling through the book but I am determined to finish it by Monday. I'm looking forward to the discussion.
I work across the street so this is the easiest book club to ever make it to! I've always wondered what those condos are like since we watched them being built! I picked the book and I didn't really like it... Good luck Carol picking February's book!
Hi Ladies happy new year. I already told Jacqueline personally but unfortunatley I can not attend this first meeting, Dave is in England and I am preparing (single parent and all) for the 2nd biggest interview of my life this week(the first will be if I make it past this round) I wanted to ask with our "year" drawing to a close I have a friend who would like to join. Dawn, toronto public health nurse, mother of 4, avid reader despite her busy life, she's my age. Are we up for new members? Should I invite her: at all? to February? or wait till March? Let me know your thoughts? Please send positive thoughts my way as I attempt to become a Principal.I need the support of my peeps!

To clarify: Jackie is picking a book in January for our February book club and Carol is picking in Feburary for the March book club.

Hi,
Unfortunately I have been sick since Friday night (strep throat) and therefore will be unable to attend. I did however manage to read the entire novel and I will miss this discussion on it. I was also looking forward to bookclub being so close by and introducing Xavier to you all. Next time I hope.
Otherwise we are doing well, Happy New Year Everybody!
